Kogishi Akira is a teenage inventor living in Meiji Era Japan (Infini Calendar). One day, a sinister fleet of ships commanded by Commodore Matthew Perry arrive and demand the country open itself to trade with them. Akira, along with apprentice swordsman Sakamoto Ryoma, team up to repel this invasion, but more sinister forces lurk in the shadows.
